The earthquake disaster in Cianjur with a magnitude of 5.6 on the Richter scale has caused extensive damage and deep sorrow for many victims there. Not only were important infrastructure such as homes and other public facilities affected, but also the hindrance to the local economy emphasized the need for various forms of aid. The Gasol Subdistrict in Cugenang District, Cianjur Regency, became the center of aid distribution provided by EWINDO on January 26, 2023.
The Gasol Village was chosen as the aid recipient due to its status as a local horticulture center, and EWINDO, as the Best Farmer Friend, provided a rapid response by giving aid in the form of 1500 kg of vegetable seeds, agricultural production facilities, and equipment for local farmers. The aid provided is a form of the company's social responsibility towards farmers in Cianjur, West Java. Not only was aid given, but during the recovery process, the field team will also provide maximum assistance to the farmers.
On the same day, EWINDO, represented by Senior General Manager Corporate Affairs, Fransiska Fortuna, and Senior Manager Product Management, Wakrimin, along with vegetable farmers from Gasol Village, inaugurated a shelter facility named Saung Sawala Sahate. The shelter was built to become a communication center for farmers to exchange information related to cultivation and other important information. In addition, the EWINDO team present also presented theatrical entertainment as a form of trauma healing. With all the aid given to the Gasol Village and its surroundings, it is hoped that the recovery process will soon take place in various critical locations, and economic activities will return to normal.
