To face the 2022 challenge, all farmers need to prepare outstanding game plans for their planting plan to get the highest result of the harvest. Therefore, on 21st February 2022, EWINDO held Expo Live Virtual 2022 “Stay Close in The Midst of Pandemic” to give a chance for farmers all around Indonesia to learn the newest information about products, agriculture practices, and gathering with other farmers. The event was opened by Managing Director of EWINDO, Glenn Pardede who greeted 500 farmers of Cap Panah Merah all around Indonesia to gather virtually in their own homes.
Despite the pandemic infection still lurking around, all participants still followed the event enthusiastically and they get close to each other after a long time with EWINDO. The farmers learned the newest products of Cap Panah Merah which are GUSTAVI F1 that has resistance to be planted in the endemic area. YUVITA F1 eggplant has good resistance to bacteria wilt, virus, and high productivity. Big hot pepper BAJA MC F1 which is suitable for industrial and easy cultivation. Cucumber NEW METAVY F1 has resistance to virus and bitterless, ALINA F1, the sweet and withstand transporting and has high productivity. SANREN F1 that inexpensive, easy to plant, and profitable for shallot farmers, and PERKASA F1, the sweet corn that become the solution of sweet corn that tastes not even sweet at all in the market now.
There are two focus products in this Expo, first Is RAWITA F1 which has high productivity of up to 10 – 14 tons/Ha. The size of the fruits is uniform with a high level of spiciness which makes RAWITA F1 attract traders and consumers. Cucumber ERINA F1 was highlighted also in EXPO Cap Panah Merah 2022 and can produce more or less 50 tons/ ha. The high productivity was also got supported by its Geminivirus resistance and easy propagation.
Along with the product information, the participants were given chance to ask directly to the plant expert about good agriculture practices. So, it is hoped that the farmers can apply the information given to increase productivity for better income.
