As the Agriculture Center of Information, EWINDO has always been committed to providing access to information related to horticulture cultivation, products, and other trends. However, with the spread of Red Arrow Friends throughout Indonesia and the uneven access to information in various places, the Red Arrow Learning Farm was established.
The creation of the Learning Farm offers EWINDO's field team, which usually accompanies farmers, an alternative way to learn and understand Good Agricultural Practices and the specifications of various Red Arrow products directly from the Learning Farm team. Moreover, the Learning Farm also serves as a center for learning for people from diverse backgrounds and ages, including the local community. That's why, on May 31, 2023, the EWINDO team organized a special event called "Jagongan Bersama Panah Merah" (Red Arrow Gathering Together).
At the Jagongan Bersama Panah Merah event, various members of the community, including the local farmers, were invited to enjoy the activities. In the morning, there was a seeding training session for the young generation, specifically inviting students from the nearby State Elementary School (SD Negeri) and Special Needs School (SLB). The students were very enthusiastic as they witnessed the tiny vegetable seeds up close and participated in transplanting practices.
Later on, the event continued simultaneously with two programs. Firstly, there was a cooking competition for the mothers from the Village's Family Welfare Program (PKK Desa Pujon, Malang). Secondly, a special program was organized for the farmers, where they were taught how to plant shallots from seeds.
The main goal of the #capapanahmerah Learning Farm is to be a place of learning for people of all ages and backgrounds, from academics to children and even the general public interested in agriculture. Apart from Malang, the #cappanahmerah Learning Farm has been established in various other regions in Sumatra, West Java, Central Java, Kalimantan, and Sulawesi.
It is hoped that this opportunity can be fully utilized by the local community around the #cappanahmerah Learning Farm to enhance their agricultural skills and, of course, to inspire the younger generation to consider a future in farming. The Learning Farm is set to be a hub of knowledge and a stepping stone for a more sustainable and knowledgeable agricultural community across Indonesia.
