Nursery

a. Sow seeds along a length of 1 – 3 m with a width of about 80 – 100 cm.

b. Space rows 3 – 5 cm apart, while the distance between plants is 1 – 2 cm.

c. Cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil and water them.

d. Seed requirement: 1000 g/ha

II. Land Preparation

The soil is cultivated and tilled until it is loose. Then, create beds with a width of 100 – 120 cm and trenches about 30 – 40 cm deep. The length of the beds is adjusted according to the need or the available land length. Planting holes are made at intervals of 40 x 40 cm.

III. Transplanting

Transplant the seedlings to the field when they are 10 days old after germination. Plant the seedlings up to the base of the stem in the prepared planting holes.

Note: Fertilizers are applied simultaneously during bed preparation, and plastic mulch is evenly spread on the beds.

Maintenance

Watering is provided adequately during the growth period until harvesting.

In case of signs of pest and disease infestation, promptly spray with recommended pesticides.

To accelerate vegetative growth and enhance plant production, spray foliar fertilizer at a dosage of 2 g per liter of water every day.

Harvest

Harvesting is conducted at the age of 25 - 30 days after transplanting.
